ensuring consistency in HR policies and procedures (confidential client)
This organisation had lots of policies and procedures but different versions existed across the business. They were also out of date - the last time they had been up-dated was six years ago. This led to a lack of consistency in dealing with people issues and the misalignment with current legislation left the organisation open to potential breaches of the law.
We worked with the organisation to develop a comprehensive suite of policies and procedures, which were easily accessible and user-friendly. In addition to the main policy content, process maps and FAQ were included. A system of version control and regular reviewing was introduced. We then designed a comprehensive training programme for all line managers and supervisors on how to use them and to provide them with sufficient knowledge in employment law. All of this was provided under the umbrella of our annual employment law contract with them, including on-going advice as and when required.
