We have a number of clients who undertake one-to-one sessions with us.

In today’s jargon, this may be called 'executive coaching'.

Our view is that we prefer to think of ourselves as ‘sounding boards’.

We work with these individuals, often at Director level, and whilst sometimes there may be a structured development programme, often it’s an opportunity for people to take time out to think things through, discuss thoughts, ideas, hopes and concerns with an independent person in absolute confidentiality.

A typical intervention might be a half-day meeting every month over a year, usually away from the client's office/base – sometimes outdoors. Psychometric instruments are sometimes used to provide insights into development needs and as a way of exploring possible ‘blind spots’.

Specific work issues are often covered in the course of these meetings and provide an opportunity for alternatives to be explored.
